NTI Projects for 2/3/22 AM & PM TBB:
*** Parents please assist your students to do at least one of these three ideas so we can give credit for attending TBB. Our grant requires that we conduct NTI days any time school has them. In an effort to keep our part simple, we are not having a ZOOM meeting this time, but rather allowing you to choose which project to do and when to do it. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!!!
1. Ice Balloon Marbles Fill a balloon with water colored with food colors. Set it outside to freeze. When it is safe to go out to check on them, pop the balloon off the ice. Take a picture of the ice marble and send it to [email protected]
2. If you don’t have Balloons, make colored ice blocks Fill a plastic container or ice tray with water colored with food colors. Use a container that will not matter if it breaks as the ice could split the sides out. Set it outside to freeze. When it is safe to go out to check on them, pop the balloon off the ice. Take a picture of the ice marble and send it to [email protected]
3. Frozen Bubbles Mix 10 ounce of water (distilled preferred but any will work), 1 ounce dawn dish soap, 1 to 2 tablespoons glycerin (get at health food places) or corn syrup (I used corn syrup or maple syrup, both work) Place a small amount of bubble solution on a smooth surface like metal or a ceramic cup bottom. Use a straw to blow a small bubble. Watch the snowflakes form. Take a picture of the snowflake bubble and send it to [email protected]
Tuesday, 1/18 TBB
Parents,
As we prepare for NTI days for TBB, we will prepare packets to send home, in the meantime, we want our students to be able to participate in TBB today.
Please have your child watch the short videos below according to their age group. Allow them to locate the described measuring utensils in your kitchen. Take a photo of their measuring utensils and send them via email to [email protected] .
